Conference, Happiness, and Hiccups!

I know haven't posted in a while... but here I am now!

The past couple weeks have been crazy with James' school and work, and my school; but now as I'm waiting for some school materials to arrive, I have time to catch my breath ;) For James though it's his last week of school, so no breathing for him!

Just... Breathe...

This past weekend was so great, and inspiring. I love the time of General Conference :) It enlightens me and I wish we could have it more often! ;)

There were so many great talks! Like always. But I particularly enjoyed Elder Holland's talk about defending our faith; and Randall L Ridd's talk about how we are the choice generation. Truly inspiring words from both.

I was also blessed to be able to attend the Sunday Afternoon session in person, with my husband and two of my sisters Hannah and Rachel. Hannah and Rachel had never attended a session, and it was so cool to be able to be there with them on their first time.

Photo: Had to share another thought from this session of #generalconference that struck a chord with me. For all the worries of a mothers heart in shielding my children from the things of the world, THIS is most important that I need to remember, foster that Personal Internal Filter. Faith over Fear. #ldsconf p.s. Giddy to see that hashtag trending on twitter click onthe blue #lds conf to see what others are saying.

I also finally figured out what something I've been feeling is! Ellie kicks a lot, and squirms a lot, and just all around moves a lot... but there was always this "tapping" that I wasn't sure what it was. My mom helped me learn that it is actually hiccups! And man does this girl hiccup a lot ;) It's so cool cause that just means her lungs are developing :)

I am 29 weeks along today. 29! I'm about a week into my third trimester, she supposedly weighs about 2 and a half pounds, and we get to see her next week on another ultrasound! It's so crazy to think how soon she will be here. But I can't wait to really hold her in my arms, and kiss her, and talk to her, and just look at her. :D

This is how I feel inside thinking about how close it is until
we can hold her!
(And I also feel like this is kind of how she dances at the moment)

So that's what's going on in the life of this bean. :)

Also, this is the only gif I could find of hiccup(s)... I think it counts!

I mean it kind of looks like he's hiccuping...

There Is Beauty All Around

This has been a great week!

It started out with a beautiful day last Saturday. The weather was perfect! We decided to do yard work that day because well.. you never know how long the beautiful weather will last here ;)

We were in the beautiful sun all day, and I was taking that opportunity to get some color into my skin cause well I'm really white. Later that day at about 3pm, I noticed, or at least thought I noticed that my leg had some pink on it. But then I moved it and realized, or at least thought I realized, that it actually wasn't pink so I can stay out in the Sun cause it's all fine. But then as we got ready to go to dinner and a movie that night... I realized that the left side of my body was redly sunburned and the right side... wasn't.

So that's what happens when you get really really really excited that you finally have real sunshine and then you abuse it. ;)

I like Care Bears and I am not Ashamed.

Then Sunday was just a good day like Sundays always are. Little baby Ellie seems to really love to kick during church; so hopefully she's getting just as much out of it as I am ;)

Speaking of Ellie; This is our week number 25, and I am more than halfway through my pregnancy! This is the week that sounds are really starting to make an impression on the baby brain. I just think that's so cool. I think babies are really cool. And cute. Especially when they're fat.

Yesterday, James, two of my sisters Rachel, and Emma, and I all went to the Temple for baptisms. We did 25 family names. It made me so incredibly happy to see that the Family History work I'm doing/ I've done, is getting to that point and that it's paying off in some ways. :D

And then we got ice cream cause well...

What's a sunny day without ice cream...

This isn't what we had, but it's beautiful enough
to want to have it today instead...

Ooh! I also started online school this week! I'm going to Penn Foster Online for Medical Billing and Coding! It has been really cool so far, and I am quite enjoying it. I have made like a bazillion note cards to study and there are so many more where those came from ;) It's actually quite exciting.

Aaaand... life has been really good and sunny and beautiful.

☼... It's Hot ...☂ Then It's Not? ... And Baby Names!

This has been a good week!

It's seemed to go by so fast I never knew what day it was! Well... that's normal anyways. But still ;)

We went and saw the Son of God on Friday, and it was a powerful movie. It reminded me of how much our Savior truly has done for us, for you, for me. And how incredibly grateful I am to have this knowledge, and the influence of the Gospel in my life. I am so blessed that I will get to share that with my own daughter. :)

I became a crazy cleaner person this week...
"Hmmm, I'm bored, what should I do?
"Oh yes, Clean!"
"Now I have nothing left to clean....."

Maybe I Should start making messes so I have to clean them up ;)

I also got really excited about Easter this week. Easter colors are so pretty! The purples, blues, yellows, pinks. So I started to embroider bunnies into towels to show my enthusiasm! And even though Easter is more than a month away I am like super stoked ;) And I just can't get over all the beautiful colors so here are some!

We also had the opportunity to go to two little concerts that my sisters Emma, and Rachel, were in. One was put on by their vocal teacher; and the other was a School Choir Concert. At the Choir Concert, one of the soloists sang "Pie Jesu" By Andrew Lloyd Webber. Meaning "Merciful Jesus." It was beautiful, and such a pure song. I loved it. So I have included a version I heard of it this morning, at the bottom of this post.

Topic Switch! This week, the weather hasn't been able to make up it's mind.

ITS HOT!

Then its Coooold....

It's "Yes!!!"

Then it's "Nooo :("

Though I must admit, the rain can be beautiful and I do love the smell of the rain... I love the sunshine even more. When you can sit outside and tan or just soak in the rays... it just makes me feel so good! :D At least the snow isn't back and I can still admire our green grass in the backyard :)

We have chosen a name for our little darling baby girl.
╰⊰✿  Elizabeth Marie Bean!! ✿⊱╮
We will call her Ellie :) Our little Ellie Jelly Belly Bean!
She has been just quite the kicker during church or music related events. So I'm thinking she'll either she will be a great Singing Soccer Player, or an Amazing Musically Talented Astronaut... Floating and just kickin around ... humming to the moon ...

And that in a nutshell is my week! :) Love to all a y'alls.

Pregnant People Have "Brains" Too.

This week, what did we do this week...

As I sit here trying to remember what we did this week, Pregnancy Brain is getting me!
For those of you who do not know what this is, I have found a few illustrations to help- (to distract you while I think).

So now that I sit here for a while I do remember what we did this week!

James was sick, I was not. James was sick, I was not. James was sick, I think I might be... James is sick, I am definitely sick. But James is getting better! But I am still sick! But I am starting to get better.... But James might be sick again?!?!?!?! But now we are both better. ;)

Hehe.

Also it was really sunshiny yesterday :D And I was sittin outside tanning... And it was so wonderful.

Now please enjoy this picture of a smiling sunshine.

In all seriousness as far as pregnant brain goes... I really don't remember a lot of things... But! Pregnancy is so great! It is a beautiful thing. Feeling her kick, and knowing I had part in creating such a beautiful life is one of the best feelings in the world :) And knowing how fast it's going and how soon she will be here is even better!! I cannot wait to hold this precious angel.

Going through all this, having realizations of how motherhood will be, Feeling even more like a mom in everyday life... Has made me so much more grateful for my own mom :) She has done so much for all of us, and continues to do so. Even when we don't deserve it she is always there! And let me just list some things I am grateful for- which without my mother I wouldn't know the greatness of these things.

~ Rules! I would be so lost if not for rules.
~School! The opportunity to learn and have learned is an amazing feeling, and my little brother Sam thinks so as well I have discovered.
Sam's homework I saw this morning.
~ Chores. I am thankful for chores and responsibility, the opportunity to be self sufficient.
~ The Gospel! So thankful for the Gospel.
~ My loving Family. My parents, siblings and husband!
~ Family History
~ People
~ And when the "f" key on the computer works really well, unlike today :)

:D That was this week and a peek into my head. Stay tuned for next week when I...umm...I'll get back to you on that.

The Sun Should Come Out... Except For When We Don't Want It To...

Well hello there!

This week has felt longer than it really has been! Last Wednesday after my last post, we went down to the mall to get my wedding rings "stuck together so they don't keep having minds of their own," and it ended up that there was a diamond missing :O. So I have had a naked finger all week and I can't wait to go in and make it modest again!

James started officially working at Cafe Zupas and it is going great!!! He brought me Dessert after his first shift... *Berry Creme Brulee* which I ate this morning... and now feel like this...
I feel fat and fluffy, but somewhat cute like this here sheep.
As for bad news this week, James has been really sick! Lots of sneezing and crying (well eye watering...). So not fun! This is what he looks like, although he is tons better now than he was last week! And we keep hoping for more and more recovery every day.
And this is what I look like trying not to get sick...

It is really windy today...

But... it hasn't been nearly as cold this week as it has been for the last 30 years (well like 3 months). It was 60 degrees on Monday! and almost 50 yesterday! Woohoo!! COULD THIS BE REAL?! ;) {Even though its really windy today I still have hope} As you can tell I am excited for warmer weather. Except I think we should all be able to have a little box of cold weather in our backyard for when we get too hot and have nothing to make us cooler. Either that or our own little raincloud that we can just whip out whenever we want to... that comes with lightning when we need it... and we can switch the rain to pour food when we are hungry. Yep I think this is a perfectly good idea. Thank you.

...So that's how this week has been, quite exciting. Plus, our little baby girl here has just been kicking like crazy! 23 weeks along and still goin :D She'll be here before we know it...

Baby, Baby, Baby ♡

It has been an exciting week!

Starting last Friday, James got a new job :) He was offered a job at Cafe Zupas; full time hours and nice pay! It was quite a blessing. So now by Valentine's day, he has to memorize the first 12 salads, and I must say he's been doing a good job. The other day, I heard him get on the piano, and to help with memorization he was singing the ingredients for the salads. ☺
♫ Way to use your creativity James!
I'm excited to see him pass the Salad test :)

Excitement for me this week, I got a new calling in church! I was sustained and set apart on Sunday as the new Nursery Leader. Definitely a new and exciting experience for me. Now, when I first got called I had no idea what a Nursery Leader did... All I knew is they didn't teach. I found out I am like the Nursery Principle. Over all the Nursery teachers and kids. I am very excited! And I even have my own set of Nursery Keys!!!!

This is my "Excited I have my own keys" Dance.

Our little baby girl was kicking a lot on Sunday. It was so cool. It started with us singing "Choose the Right" in Sacrament meeting, and continued all the way until "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" at choir practice! She settled down a bit after that, but she was loving the music. ;)

Speaking of this little darling, we had another ultrasound this morning!! She measured in at 21 weeks :) We got to see her in 2D, and 3D! ...Or should I say we got to see her feet, legs, hands, belly, head... brains, cord, spine... femur...bottom... and part of her face ;) She was a shy little one! She loved to cover her face with her hands and feet! She was quite the wiggle worm. ;D Our Ultrasound Technologist commented on her lovely diaphragm. Said how beautiful it was, and how nicely shaped and formed it was :) She had a beautiful head, and beautiful brains! And darling little feet :) ♡

It was the neatest experience to see her, and know she is progressing nicely. I can't wait until she is a singer, pianist, and foot model. ;) kidding. Or am I? I'm all about free agency ;)

❀ Her gift of showing us her profile :) ❀

We have been very blessed, and I am very grateful.

First!

This is my first blog, ever. With everything new happening in life, I decided to finally take the step to write about it! My name is Sarah Nicole Bean, formally Sarah Nicole Watson. I  married James Gavin Bean in the Salt Lake Temple for Time and all Eternity on July 6th, 2013 :)

I am the second of 8 kids. I was raised in California, and moved to Utah in the Fall of 2012. I love singing/playing guitar, Family History/Genealogy, Going to School, Doing the Dishes, and Planning. I am currently not working or going to school, but I am working on becoming a professional Genealogist! I graduated High School when I was 14 years old, and then started to attend Butte Community College in California. From there I went to LDS Business College and graduated as a Medical Assistant :)

Let me tell you a little bit about my husband James. He was raised in Kaysville, Utah; he is the 4th out of 5 kids. Aside from his mission in the Roseville, California mission, he has lived in Utah his whole life. He is an amazing piano player, in fact, just about every instrument he picks up he can play! He loves to draw as well. He is currently going to school at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City for a Business Entrepreneurship degree; and he works as a night Maintenance guy at The GYM in Station Park.

On October 12th, 2013 a magnificent thing happened. I received confirmation that I was pregnant! :) Now, this was no accident. For years I always told myself that I would wait at least 2 years after I got married, to get pregnant. I had told myself I wasn't going to waiver on that decision, and when I choose to do something... or not do something, I'm good at sticking to it. Well, long story short.. I had several promptings that having a baby was the next step. I told James, and we went to the Temple and prayed about it, and we both received the prompting that this was the correct choice to make.

Baby at 6 weeks!

On January 16th, I felt the first kick! And then on January 21st we found out that we are having a baby girl :) James first felt her kick on January 31st. Let me tell you, the way to really get her kickin is to eat Cheerios. ;) It really is a beautiful thing.

That's us in a nutshell :) More to come!
